Royal Flying Doctor Service Mental Health Nurse Incentive Program
To provide clinical support and professional service alongside General Practitioners for consumers to maximize positive outcomes for people living with severe and complex mental Illness. The MHNIP Nurse conducts comprehensive assessments & reviews to inform consumer treatment care plans, reduce hospital admissions & develop individualized interventions to support wellbeing and connection to their community.
Dubbo Community Mental Health Service identifies and initiates referrals via GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
The criteria for eligibility is:
• The consumer voluntarily consents to referral to the service.
• The consumer has a severe and complex diagnosed Mental Illness that significantly affects their daily living.
• The consumer has no current acute risks.
• A Mental health Treatment Plan is required.
